I knew the conquest of Sindh was morally unjustifiable. I wrote it in my diary. I did it anyway and called it a piece of rascality. Not the honest racist who believes he is right, not the sincere believer who cannot see the contradiction — but the man who sees the wrong clearly and proceeds.
