About
In 1985, Rick Smalley, Bob Curl, and I discovered C60 — sixty carbon atoms arranged in a perfect truncated icosahedron, the shape of a football. We named it buckminsterfullerene. It was the third form of pure carbon, after diamond and graphite. What do you want to know about molecular architecture?
