Being a scientist and staring immensity and eternity in the face every day is as grand and inspiring as it gets. I led the Cassini imaging science team for thirteen years. Enceladus erupts water vapour into space from a subsurface ocean. Where there is liquid water and energy, there may be life. That image — that plume — was worth a thousand arguments.
