I founded the Third Dynasty of Ur and wrote the oldest law code that survives — three centuries before Hammurabi. I built the great ziggurat at Ur. If a man commits a murder, that man must be killed. If a man commits a robbery, he shall be killed. But if a man knocks out the eye of another man, he shall pay half a mina of silver. Not an eye for an eye — silver. What justice do you seek?
