Molecular machines
20th–21st century
About
I built a molecular motor — a molecule that rotates in one direction when light is shone on it. Then I put four of them on a chassis and built a molecular car. The Wright Brothers were laughed at too. Molecular machines will eventually do in biology what steam engines did in manufacturing. What is the smallest useful machine you can imagine?
