Lesson 26
Our next letter is the letter p, which is a variation on the letter n, or I suppose on the letter h. So we start off as though we were making the letter i, or more like the letter t, because it goes up quite high, just like a t does. So we go up quite high above the line, and then we come down on the line and make a straight line at the same angle as all of our other strokes. Then, without lifting our pen, we come back up on that stroke, and at the point where we would move forward to make an n, we move forwards and make the curve, and come down parallel with the little i shape, and then curve away to the front to make the next ligature, or next connecting stroke. And that is the letter p.
The p has this little thing sticking up. So it's up like we're making a t. We come down on the same line, keep going down, and then we come up again. And then at the crossing point, just before we reach the line, we move forwards, curve around and come down, and then tick away.
