Lesson 35
And that brings us to the end of our alphabet. The next thing is that you're going to write some connected words. We'll give you some words to write out, especially practising things like o and i, and b and o: how b connects to c, how o connects to c, how l connects to o, how p connects to o, how i connects to o, how o connects to b, how v connects to o, and how o connects to w. And we will write out some words.
We're going to give you some sample words and sample sentences using the printed alphabet that's used in books. Some of the letters are slightly different to the ones that you've been taught, but go back and look at the ones you learned, and use those. This is just an example of what to write: use the letters that we taught you, and write them as we taught you. So you're going to be given some letters, and some words, and some connections, and these words will help you learn the various ways that letters connect.
And at the end, we will write out a sentence: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog, because that sentence contains all of the letters in our alphabet.
And then, after you've done that, you can experiment with writing out the whole alphabet without lifting your pen up from the paper, until you arrive at the letter x, when you have to lift your pen up from the paper. And then, when you get to the end of the alphabet, you go back and dot your i's and cross your t's.
