About this course
Nash equilibrium permits incredible threats. Selten (1975) introduced trembling hand perfection to eliminate them. Myerson (1978) refined further: more costly mistakes must be made less frequently than less costly ones. This module proves existence and hierarchy theorems for both refinements and establishes the connection between proper equilibrium and sequential equilibrium.
