About this course

Kreps and Wilson (1982) introduced sequential equilibrium: not just a Nash equilibrium in every subgame, but one consistent with an explicit system of beliefs updated by Bayes' rule wherever possible. This module builds the extensive form from first principles, proves the Kreps-Wilson existence theorem, and applies the framework to signalling games through the Intuitive Criterion.
