About this course

The statutory appeals framework from First-tier Tribunal through to the Supreme Court and ECtHR, as restricted by the Immigration Act 2014. Procedure rules, time limits, out-of-time applications, and out-of-country appeals under s.94B certification. Judicial review as the remedy where no statutory right of appeal exists — fresh claims, third country cases, failures to follow policy. Immigration bail under the Immigration Act 2016, the Hardial Singh principles on lawfulness of detention, and the s.12 Illegal Migration Act 2023 amendments.
