The sixth and final course of Manesca’s 1856 method. The student carries over 1,513 items accumulated across five courses. Here the remaining verbs and idioms are systematically completed: ROMPRE and its compounds; COUDRE; the full arsenal of compound prepositions; APPARAÎTRE; advanced subjunctive constructions; military vocabulary; and the last structures of the language.

Course 6 opens. ROMPRE (break — 2nd class; IL ROMPT silent T; ROMPU) and its compounds: CORROMPRE (CORROMPU), INTERROMPRE (INTERROMPU). COUDRE (sew — highly irregular: JE COUDS, IL COUD, NOUS COUSONS, COUSU). DÉCOUDRE. New subjunctive triggers: À CONDITION QUE, POUR QUE, SURPRENANT QUE, IMPORTANT QUE. UN PRÊTRE, UN SAVANT.
