About this course

The liability of those who occupy and control premises for injuries suffered on them. The common duty of care owed to lawful visitors under the Occupiers Liability Act 1957, and the more limited duty owed to persons other than visitors, including trespassers, under the Occupiers Liability Act 1984. The course distinguishes the two statutory actions from one another and from common law negligence, applies them to complex facts, and evaluates their effectiveness.
