What happens when a will is altered. The provisions of s 21 of the Wills Act 1837, the presumption that an unattested alteration was made after execution and so is ineffective, the exception for the completion of blank spaces, the admission of attested alterations, the meaning of apparent and the effect of obliteration where the original words are no longer apparent, and the rules on extrinsic evidence, illustrated by the case law.
