বাঙালি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য "were" ব্যবহারের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলি:
১. "Were" এর মূল ব্যবহার: -
"be" ক্রিয়ার অতীত কালের রূপ -
বহুবচনে ব্যবহৃত হয় -
দ্বিতীয় পুরুষের (you) জন্যও ব্যবহৃত হয়
২. কখন "were" ব্যবহার করবেন: -
বহুবচন subject এর সাথে (They were, We were) -
"You" এর সাথে (You were) -
অতীত কালে বর্ণনার জন্য -
শর্তসাপেক্ষ বাক্যে (If I were)
৩. বাংলা থেকে পার্থক্য: -
বাংলায় "ছিল", "ছিলাম", "ছিলেন" ইত্যাদি -
ইংরেজিতে শুধু "were" -
বাংলায় সম্মানসূচক রূপ আছে, ইংরেজিতে নেই
৪. সাধারণ ভুল এড়ানোর উপায়: -
একবচনে "was" ব্যবহার করুন -
বহুবচনে "were" ব্যবহার করুন -
"you" এর ক্ষেত্রে সবসময় "were"
