الفروق الثقافية في استخدام الضمائر: -
في العربية، نستخدم صيغ احترام مختلفة مثل "حضرته" و"سيادته"، بينما في الإنجليزية يستخدم "he" لجميع المستويات الاجتماعية. -
في الكتابة الإنجليزية المعاصرة، يتجه الكتاب نحو استخدام "they" بدلاً من "he" عند الإشارة إلى شخص غير محدد. -
في السياقات الرسمية، يفضل الإنجليز تكرار الاسم بدلاً من استخدام الضمير "he" لتجنب اللبس.
