"being" tem plural regular: "beings" (seres)

A expressão fixa "human being": -

Em inglês, o adjetivo vem antes do substantivo: "human being"

O substantivo "being" e o gerúndio "being" são a mesma palavra: -

A mesma forma "being" também é o gerúndio do verbo "to be"

Em inglês, são palavras diferentes: "being" (substantivo ou gerúndio) e "is / am / are / was / were" (o verbo "to be" conjugado)

Parte F-A (Texto construído intercalando inglês e português)

From Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (1818):

A Uma creature criatura who que could podia exist existir among entre glaciers geleiras was era a um being ser with com faculties faculdades impossible impossível to de resist resistir

Parte F-B (Texto completo e tradução)

"...a creature who could exist in the ice-caves of the glaciers, and hide himself from pursuit among the ridges of inaccessible precipices, was a being possessing faculties it would be vain to cope with."

"it would be vain to cope with" é uma construção extraposta: o "it" não se refere a nada, apenas antecipa a oração infinitiva "to cope with [faculties]"

"being" aqui é claramente o substantivo (precedido do artigo indefinido "a"), não o gerúndio do verbo "to be"

"beings" sem artigo, com sentido geral: -

"many different kinds of beings", "supernatural beings", "alien beings" — o plural sem artigo fala da categoria inteira, não de um indivíduo

Quantificadores comuns com "beings": -

"many kinds of beings", "different beings", "simple beings", "other beings" — "beings" aceita os mesmos quantificadores que qualquer substantivo contável plural

"every being" no singular: -
