پڑھ چکا ہوں (paṛh chukā hūṅ, "I have already read") in 19.21 — چکنا (cuknā) added to a verb stem marks completion of an action before the current moment. پڑھ چکا = "has finished reading." This is one of the most useful aspect markers in Urdu.
روشنی ڈالنا (roshnī ḍālnā, "to throw light on") in 19.27 is an idiom meaning "to illuminate / explain" — directly parallel to English "shed light on." روشنی (light) + ڈالنا (to throw/pour).
